Just mild curiosity. Every one else talks about waiting to have their biopsy done while my uro looked at my PSA score, poked me with his finger, and walked me down the hall to stick needles up my butt.

Sounds like you have a real good Uro ... I am guessing my Uro made more money by booking a second appointment ... or maybe he just didn't have enough time/equipment/nurseing help/etc. to do the biopsy the same day.

I had two GP's tell me to go to a Uro...The Uro did the meet n greet and then scheduled the biopsy.
Think I'll call him up. He was suppost to send me some flowers when he was done having his way with me.

My URO does Biopsy's on a specif schedule. I would be surprised if your Dr held up patients who had appts to stop and hold all patients while he performed an unscheduled Biopsy
It all depends on how busy a practice the URO belongs to
I suppose if you went to a URO where you were the only appt that day or that morning that he has the spare time to do a Biopsy. but then I would wonder if he were just looking to fill his schedule with a procedure that may not even be needed

I had my first scratch 'n sniff with the Uro on 6/4/2009.
Biopsy on 6/11.
Results on 6/18, 7 out of 12 hot, 5%-70%. "You have cancer!" "I know. That's why I came to see you."
DaVinci on 7/21
And the rest is history: pee pads, pills, pumps, pricks.

My doc sent me to the uro after my PSA rose.
Uro told me I needed a biopsy and said, we can do it right now if you like.
I said, I'm not sure that's enough time to build up an appropriate level of anxiety.
Next thing I knew I was laying on my side with a baseball bat up my butt.

My GP sent me to a uro to have a biopsy. (She said that my PSA was so high a biopsy was a must)
So my GP also gave me prescription for antibiotics for the biopsy so I could start taking them the day before I saw the uro.
Thus I was all ready for a biospy before I even went into the uro's office for the first time.
The uro was not however ready to do the biopsy, but on hearing I had already started taking the antibiotics he fitted me in.
I was thus given my biospy within about half an hour of first meeting the uro!
