Slight rectal bleeding post biopsy

I had my biopsy 12/2/10 and still have a little rectal bleeding (bowel movement only).  Is this normal?  The Dr. took 24 cores.

yes that is very possible... I would put a call in to the Drs office just to make sure. You have had a lot of punctures in there.

Quite normal if it's just a little blood with the BM and not bleeding all the time. Your doc should have given you an indication of how much bleeding to expect and for how long, but it should not be more than a couple of days so this long after I suggest you tell him.

I'm guessing you will also have had a bit of blood in your urine for only two or three days.
You may have dark bloody bits in your semen for as long as a month.

Also the doc should have given you some antibiotics to take so that you didn't get any infection due to the holes that were made in your rectum, bloodvessels, prostate etc.

Get your stool softened up so BM's stop scraping off the scabs and scar tissue that is trying to form..Mangoes are good..Cut one up and squeeze some lime juice on it..The best ones are found in Mexican markets... The fruit should be soft and bright orange color..Avoid constipating foods...

Had not thought about the stool softener.  I actually like prunes.  Thanks for the advice.  Funny thing about it I never had any blood in urine.  This cancer thing is no fun at all and my experience is just starting.  I'm so mentally stressed it's hard to concentrate on my job. 

Should be having my surgery sometime in March.
