AUS not activated but i am almost continent now?

I had the AUS implant this tuesday and so far I am barely leaking anymore. I guess swelling? pressure from the cuff? change in uretha position? I think I remember others reporting this but not sure. Has anybody else had this happen. There is still some swelling but it has gone down a lot and my new dryness has not gone away, yet.  This does give me new hope that this thing might actually work. Maybe I should have had someone just give me a swift kick in the crotch? I am using only about a pad a day now.

I would say my stream is reduced to maybe 60% of what it was before the implant but I would still rate it as good as I can still force a stronger stream. It is certainly better than what I had before the RRP a year ago. It might just be the swelling and drier effect might go away. Time will tell I guess.

Knotreel I recall that when I had my surgery some two years ago I had an experience similar to you. I was swollen and had a somewhat reduced stream. The swelling also caused me to be less incontinent. As soon as the swelling began to decrease I found that the flow increased and the incontinence was in full bloom again. I hate to dash your hopes so early in the process but you will be ever so happy on activation day when you can truly say " I am dry." It does not come any earlier than that... Sorry to say that. That is the nature of this process. I am sure you will be happy with the outcome.
