Split stream when i urinate

Try whizzing into a funnel. That should collect all the urine from both streams and create a single stream that can flow into the toilet. Just my 2-cents - no charge.

I would not bother with a plastic cup with a handle. From my experience it is easier to hold the cup by the rim then on the side. Try it (pretend, of course). Do you see how your wrist must turn if you are using a handle but is straight if you hold by the rim? Also you want a cup that is a little deeper than it is wide so he can go into it a little bit and there is less chance of spillage. Finally the color - you want it to stand out so there is no mistake. The Solo cups (Made in USA) are of such high quality they can be washed in the dishwasher.
Please read this thread for more info about peeing into a cup. If nothing else it will brighten your day. You sound like you need it.

Now that you are armed with this information, ask the guy if he has "issues". Offer that you are a member of a PCa support group and the guys were talking about the how they relieve themselves while remaining courteous to others. You need to nip this bad behavior in the bud. This might this might also explain why, at 60, he is renting a room from you.

I will add one more post prostate surgery tip. After my surgery my bits looked like I was given a penisectomy rather than a prostatectomy. Honest! It looked like I had two navels - Both innies! To my chagrin, when I peed it flowed down my scrotum and actually landed behind me!!! What the ?!?! How is that even possible?!?! Try explaining that to your wife.
It took me a couple of times but I finally got the "hang" of wiggling it a few times before letting fly. That gave me a hint of length - enough so that I could use a red cup.
The bathroom floor tiles finally were dry and the marriage saved.

By the way, a true gentleman always leaves the bathroom in better shape than when he entered.

This is a very difficult subject, and for us gents a serious issue, but I have been killing my self laughing. I am 7+ weeks out from my TURP the first 2-3 weeks were fantastic I was back to younger days, but this was short lived and I am now experiencing extreme urgency, extreme frequency and severe pain at the end of voiding.
Invariably I don't make the toilet in time, even starting to be prepared prior to reaching the toilet, undoing my fly and starting to get my penis out of my underpants... Too late. Another puddle to clean up. If I do manage to arrive in time and have my penis out ready..... Oops the direction is way off aim, if it was consistent I could learn to compensate for the misdirection.....oops another wall and floor to clean up. I am not trying to make light of the subject because to me it is a very serious and most frustrating situation. I am quiet sick of taking a bag to work with extra underpants and extra "dark" trousers because I don't make the toilet in time. The guys in the factory are getting used to seeing me suddenly making a rush for the toilet and sometimes 2-3 times in an hour.
At least so far I only have to worry about one stream. I have gone from using 1 pad in a day because after my TURP I was dripping a little rusty coloured blood to around 5 pads a day, and needing at least 2 changes of underwear and 1 change of trousers.
Most frustrating, and again I am not trying to treat the subject lightly, but I could absolutely relate to the situation of the guys who have written to this forum. I have a warped sense of humour and could see my funny side of my situation.
I don't have any suggestions other that the funnel etc, for me it would be hilarious me carrying a funnel to the toilet. Maybe I could say I have to change the oil in my car !

I had a split stream for a long time before surgery, but it got worse afterwards, and can even be a problem if I sit down to pee. Sometimes while sitting I can simultaneously have one stream of pee trickling down my scrotum while another stream goes between the porcelain and the seat ending up on the floor or on my clothes.
It is a real pain to need to wash oneself or the floor when this happens in the middle of the night. And in the middle of the night my muscles are much less good and I can often dribble all over the place afterwards when I think I've finished and stand up.
Easiest thing is to pee in the shower, but I can't manage a shower every 50 minutes. so maybe I need a beaker.

To all those suffering directional issues I hope things improve.

Not sure when this started but my stream is split,but not always I did have a foley in for about 25 days 2 years ago before a turp was performed.
I am 75 4.2 PSA watchful waiting,so much drama to little peace of mind.
My PSA went down from 4 .8 after 30 days of antibiotics.
Has anyone got a idea why the split stream happens sometimes but not always.
