In case you never knew whom he was or what he contributed to the PCa community, read some of his story posted by his brother in the weblink:

Howards fight overall was like 17 years of fighting PCa, included all kinds of protocols, including spot radiations and various drug protocols. He took over the hormone refractive website division of www.prostate-help.org (founded by Don Cooley), he handled this website called: www.hrpca.org and added alot of detailed information on drug therapies and information and some of it originating out of his own protocols and experiences with doing them. Was very helpful to people worldwide in suppling information about side effects, various protocols, debunking some things, giving others some inspiration, hope and ideas too. Was a long battle and almost surreal as to what he was willing to do in fighting this beast. He shared everything publically and did not hold back and was brave in discussing it all. He was given the Harry Pinchot Award just before he died this last year from this disease. Harry Pinchot was an earlier icon in PCa circles for his contribution as an advocate for patients, as a layperson just like Howard. So, this man is historically one whom should be remember for his overall contributions to PCa. The website is on going and helping people with information to this day. There are other stories of pioneers and guys whom made huge differences in PCa for us guys around today. Just shows one guy can make a difference, collectively whom knows what is possible?
