The December issue had alot to do with newer drugs and PCa, written by Mark Moyad and pretty well done on his part. You can also archive other years and issues for online viewing, it appears.  So you don't have to subscribe perhaps, but they need some donations to keep it running, they take no drug companies money for their business...as far as I know of. Rick Profitt runs the paper and is working out of the basement of his mothers house I remember hearing....thus low budget. They have great doctors on their board of advisors and very good PCa information is common from them, they come from Grand Rapids, Michigan with the paper.

This  issue talks about some drugs from A- to Z-    abiraterone, mdx 3100, jevtana,  denosumab, provenge, and alot more. Also, T replace discussions with Dr. Turner is interesting too.

He is at Umich and I am wondering if it is worth a consult (or if he even does consulting)..

Mel we had Moyad come to one of our support group meetings in Rochester, Michigan a few years back, also had Dr. Bostwick once too (both super guys in their fields), both love what they do and it shows. Moyad writes books, articles and debunks supplements, drugs and stuff like that. He isn't the Doctor type Dr., from what I see...great for info though.

We got to ask Moyad a few questions that night, I especially like asking Bostwick some questions....once he showed the pathology slides and demonstrated to lay people how non-simplistic pathology was....we were blown away. The gleason scores is one thing, and that alone is difficult for pathology guys, we wouldn't know squat looking at slides as laypeople.

Yep I have been getting it for almost 9 years now, I called Rick Profitt in the beginning for a free phone discussion as a newbie and totally dumbfounded on PCa back then....atleast he talked to me and had some helpful words...all free. He helped hookup Andrew (Ohio State) with Dr. Lee for a one time special deal, cause Andy didn't have insurance. Shows Paact gives a darn and helps patients, money or not. Rick drove from Grand Rapids to meet Andrew at Dr. Lees office, 3+ hour drive time and met Andrew on the table...I will spare the details...cause it is TMI and funny. Rick is the real deal, Clark Kent trying to be Superman and on a budget, that is a hero. He probably doesn't get his due from everyone, but should.

Here is a bio on Moyad:
Mark A. Moyad, M.D., M.P.H., occupies an endowed position created and funded entirely by his patients. He is the Phil F. Jenkins Director of Preventive & Alternative Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center (Department of Urology).
Mark published his first medical paper in college (College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio) at the age of 22 on the effect of a compound found in cottonseed oil and its potential impact on male fertility. He received his Masters in Public Health degree from the University of South Florida (Tampa, Florida) with a focus on environmental health/epidemiology. He was one of the principal investigators of the L-tryptophan supplement investigation in the State of Florida. Mark received his Medical Degree (M.D.) from the Wayne State University School of Medicine (Detroit, MI), and he is currently finishing his Ph.D. in pathology at the same institution, along with his N.D.
The primary author of over 80 medical articles, Mark is the editor-in-chief of the soon to be released medical journal “Seminars in Preventive & Alternative Medicine” by Elsevier. He is an editor or regular reviewer for numerous medical journals including British Journal of Urology, Cancer, European Urology, International Journal of Cancer, Lancet, Journal of Urology, Nutrition and Cancer, Urology and others. He is also the editor of the Humana Medical Book Series on Preventive & Alternative Medicine. Mark is the co-author or author of five books, and he has maintained a consulting practice in Preventive and Alternative Medicine for the last 10 years.

A visit to Moyad would not be a waste of your time. He is coming out here for a speaking engagement for a Urology group. I met him when he did this video for Prostate Cancer International (InfoLink)

Thanks for the bio on Mark...that is one busy man, and pathology now too. The youtube is good so you get an idea whom is this man. He must be a pretty wise guy, he also puts jokes into his commentary and even in the Paact Newsletter, let's you know he is more of regular guy and not a stuff shirt type. We need to clone guys like this.
