Hormonal Therapy in any form, including Lupron injections, can result in high blood pressure especially on the top number (systolic) side.
Frankly, Lupron scares the hell out of me: From this forum and others the possible side effects are: Fatigue, Flu-like symptoms, hot flashes, numbness in extremities, mood swings, joint pain, blurry vision, swollen breasts, loss of libido, memory loss, weight gain, etc. Consider also that Lupron is a form of, albeit reversible, chemical castration.
A periodic metabolic blood panel workup is necessary when undergoing any form of HT, since it puts the patient at higher risk for heart failure, diabetes, adverse swings in cholesterol, triglycerides and kidney functions, etc.
RESEARCH is the keyword before making any important health choices. Read, look, ask then read, look and ask again.
