So being at the panic point, I sent the numbers to my doctors because they somehow don't get that paperwork. Got a call from the oncologist and he isn't sure of anything other than I am responding atypically to this. He feels that the urologist is the lead person right now. I see the urologist on Monday. My GP called tonight and I explained the concerns and he isn't sure why the oncologist hasn't taken the lead but is willing to see where monday leads. I am the ****** caught in the middle with the fear, panic, and anxiety.

Double darn! Have a friend that received a $300m heart operation and he had no insurance..I don't know the answer, but every hospital has an admin person who should have an answer for how to get you treated..Maybe their is a religious organization that can get you in the door to get the treatment that you need?? Sounds like a real mess but don't give up--stay cool!

Today is my urologist appointment and a few things have cropped up that were unepected. There are times when it feels as though a brush is in the urinary tract. I have some lower abdominal pain and the testicles are a dull throbbing pain and there are spots at the groin that are tender, right at the fold between the leg and pelvis. So far still not getting a information sharing that is comfortable and no one seems terribly excited about it.....except for me. Had medicine become so sanitized that they have lost the compassion toward the patient? So far everyone seems a bit ho hum about it.

Hoping to see a plan in place today, if not, don't know what I will think. Seems that something needs to be done, even if it is non productive. There has to be some testing that can clarify something. Yup, I just found myself at the edge of the cliff.

Today's appointment was about three hours total. My urologist consulted with three other urologists and two oncologists and they came to the conclusion that the cancer has returned. No more testing. Thought they might consider an MRI or pets can, but, they didn't feel it would prove anything. So there are two options. Castration or hormones and they are opting for the hormones for fear of the mental anguish of castration. So, in the next few days I start on the pills to counteract the testosterone. Going to make an appointment with my GP to do a quick check over and to inventory my meds which have become considerable and see if we need to eliminate, add or change anything. Also considering a second opinion just to be sure.

The up side, the pills are 400 a month, but found that through my pharmacy and their discount card I can get them for 38.96 for a month. Can afford that. It is generic not branded, at this point don't think it will make much difference. Then there are the shots.

Had the first hormone shot on Thursday. The injection point is sore and bruised. Not sure it is normal but it is what it is.
