My next-door neighbor I have told you guys about
has made his decision choice, he ended up being a Gleason 7 (4+3), still not sure of any PSA numbers.
He can't have surgery, too many previous in the area, and fairly recent major radiation for stomach cancer, too much scarring.
Can't have radiation or seeds, for the same reason as above.
His choice was HT only for now, or cyrotherapy (think I spelled that right), or both at the same time.
He has chosen the cyro minus the ht, and he will see how things go after that.
He doesn't want to do HT unless the cyro fails.
Doctor said one night in the hospital probably for the cyro.
Would love to know more about this treatment method, my own uro was very much opposed to it, and no, he wasn't pushing surgery, he is also favorable to AS, RT, seeds, etc, depending on the patient's stats, circumstances.
My neighbor is taking it all in stride, he has been through other cancer and general medical hell prior to this dx.
