Thank you David...our best to you and Peg for a wonderful Easter, hopefully surrounded by your loved ones.

We have John's sister coming for dinner and the roast just went in the oven. Weather here has turned quite mild with the sun peaking through and a gentle (warm) breeze blowing. It poured all day yesterday but stopped in time for church service last night.

Happy Easter and Passover to all my brothers and sisters here.

Actually, first "empty" Easter in years. Wife is working, daughter in law working, youngest son working, oldest son and his family and daughter and her husband out of town. But I don't mind, its a beautiful day here in western SC, though suppose hit near ninety degrees.

Hi David --- thanks for the Easter wishes, and if you'd only known, I'm sure you'd have said Happy Birthday to me too!

My 97 year old mother just drove by the front of our house to hand me a birthday gift out the car window on her way to her house where she's putting on Easter dinner for some 30 members of the family. You'll be glad to know she wasn't driving! Her eyes just aren't good enough for that.

And, I'll have all five grandchildren at the dinner --- life doesn't get better than that!

Sorry to hear your family is all away today, David, although I suspect an hour or two into 30 family rousting about I'll envy you the peace and quiet.

While you're headed to 90 today, we're already at 52 and may hit 60. Speaking of hitting 60, I've "hit" 69, just 11 years short of 80.

Happy Easter, David, and the same to everyone here on HW. It's a beautiful Spring day here in northern Illinois. It may even hit 60 degrees!

Our little twin four-year-old grandkids dyed three dozen Easter eggs for us on Friday and had a great time. Is there cholesterol in Easter eggs? :) Do I care?

Same to you David and all of the HW folks.

Lynn and I just got back from the family gathering at her mother's place. First family gathering since Lynn's dad passed away in January. Think her mom was on the quiet side just a little.

David, Happy Easter back to you buddy. Quiet day here as well. Kind of nice I must say. I cooked lunch for Pat, my Mother in Law, and our son.

Enjoyed the beautiful day hitting on 90 degrees here as well.

And a happy Easter to you David and everybody else. Great time Easter here for it always brings a public holiday for Friday, public holiday Monday and this year, Anzac day is in the same week, so another public holiday on Tuesday. And I am off on a golfing holiday for three days the following weekend. I could get used to this.

I'm feeling a sudden urge to move to Australia.  At least golf league starts here a week from Tuesday.  BillyMac, in commemoration of Anzac Day, you should go to YouTube and listen to "Gallipoli" by the Fureys.  Very moving.

Thanks, David.  I hope your Easter was as enjoyable as mine.  It was just Beth and I today, no Easter bunny, no colored eggs in the yard, no grandkids, but a relaxing day working around the yard and now a quiet evening watching a sappy Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, and a phone call from the daughter in New Jersey.  I like this kind of holiday.  One of those days you can look back at and say, today life was good.

Know what you mean, Clock, I have spent most of the day alone. Got a few things done that I had been putting off. Of course my wife got a nice chocolate bunny (which I have been eye-balling all day with her at work) and a card. I have never forgotten a single holiday or occasion in our entire 37 year marriage. I'm a bit too OCD to forget things like that, lol.
