Pomegranate

Not desiring to spark a debate on pomegranate.

However, I drink it everynight with dinner.

I call it Pom-Sangria.  I chill both the pomegranate and

dry red wine in the frig.  When chilled, I add ice to a glass

,then add the juice & wine, yummy.

i don't drink the juice or booze but i have taken a POMx capsule every day for more than a year .

Currently just trying to drink plenty of water as it's hot for Holland at present (31C). However the water company has switched us off today to connect a new main to all the homes in my street, so I guess I'll have to drink juice, beer wine etc. At least I have the luxury of having our new house to go to for water. As there there's also water to flush the WC!

IMO Pomegranate tastes better than pom juice, but still not great. The acidity and (natural) sugar content of the Pom juice I tried here was one reason I stopped drinking it. My period of drinking pom juice was also when my PSA rose from 0.1 to 0.4 in three months, which hardly made me think it was helping!
I'm still health conscious, but I will simply get some of what does me good today by eating bananas, cherries, grapes, tomatoes etc with a spot of lamb and brocolli later.

I think a healthy lifestyle/diet has to be more about avoiding things that are KNOWN to be bad for you (sugar, fat, booze, cigarettes etc) than trying to consume extra quantities of the latest unproven wonder in the hope/belief that it MIGHT be good for you.

But of course when someone gets a nobel prize or similar for proving that "X" cures PCa then I'll be happy to drink or eat it!!!
