So...I go in for my open RP on Tuesday. I spent the last week on vacation with my family and had some quality "time" with my wife. Nothing left but to get "fileted" on Tuesday morning. Having my last glasses of wine with a prostate tonight. Any last minute tips would be appreciated. If not, I'll report from the other side when I get back from the hospital.

Put your mind at ease, and trust in the skill of your surgeon.  You seem much better prepared than the average Joe, and you have a whole lot of guys who've already been there pulling for you and wishing you well.  Please let us hear from you as soon as you're up to it after the surgery.

Good luck the worst part is waking up with the catheter so it's not a big deal.Just keep the faith and we'll see you on the on the other side.

Don't forget one of the most important PRE-SURGERY tips. Empty the prostate as much as you can tonight. LOL
