MRI's scheduled

Just got off the phone.  The special MRI's the ortho doctor ordered are set to start at 915 on Thursday.  Not as soon as I had hoped, because it will me that I wont get to go over the results with the doctor until the following week, which of course, means having something to worry about over a weekend.

Well David, you been dealing with this pain and stuff for 8+ months now, so a few more days ought to be no problem for you.

I am glad that you are taking the bull by the horns and taking a solid approach to find out what is going on.

Knowing you like I do, I can't really see you spending too much time in the "Worry Closet" this weekend anyway.

May be the doctor can get the results and see you on Friday. When my wife was at MD Anderson she had her MRI at 10:30 AM and got to see the doctor at 2:00 PM the same day. If your Ortho doctor is in the same facility they can probably get the results to him the same day. Good luck and God Bless.

Hopefully a definitive answer, one way or the other. I don't like mysteries.

Glad the timetable for the scan and hearing the results has worked out. But one doesn't always want to rush the time between a scan or simialr and hearing what it reveasls to make sure that the docs have enough time to examine the evidence and reach some conclusions.

David - In your case there will certainly be enough time to calmly examine your scans to search for the problem, my comment about not rushing things was more a general tip. (An orthodontist once rushed to examine an xray of my son's teeth cos he was concerned about the front teeth and totally overlooked the fact that at the back all the wisdom teeth were stuck in the law bone and pointing at right angles to the norm it was me that spotted that and took my son to a different surgeon to get them extracted!)

Thus before I had my SRT my CT scan was first examined by the CT department to check that it was technically okay, then by my RT doc and then by the RT team to review his opinion with someone from the uro's team also getting a look in. Finally judgement was passed and hence there were a couple of weeks between me having the scan and even getting told how much SRT I needed and what the timetable would be!

ziggy, i certainly hope so

though i have been greatly disapointed at every step of the way in this thing called PC Journey. Been one let down and complicated mess after the next. we shall see, it will be whatever it will be regardless
