On August 9, Dr Sartor, and Dr Thomas will be doing a 2 hour presentation on "Managing Recurrence in PCa", from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm.
It will be held at the Tulane Medical Center, 1st Floor, Reily Pavillion.

should be interesting.

I'm thinking seriously about attending.

If I were recouped from the Friday before I would make the run to New Orleans. But I think I will be still down for the count. That is only 4 days after surgery.

Hi K,

I would be very interested in hearing what he has to say. He's one of the only researchers doing interesting things with dutasteride, so perhaps he'll mention how his TARP trial is coming along.

Hope you get to go.

I think this doctor is well worth listening to, on yananow (website-experiences/mentors) Truman Seamans lived 10 years thanks to Dr. Sartor and another onco together working his case. His original stats were psa around 4200 at diagnosis and serious prognosis....you could go read it if it is still searchable there. I think if he had a very conservative type, he would not have gotten the same life span, but that is my s.w.a.g. (scientific-wild-ass-guess). Anyway he is among the specialists PCa oncologists and has treated plenty of high risk scenarios and will use likely anything that can work.

Please take good notes.   Also let us know if it is being recorded or if a transcript of the presentation will be available.   I decided some time ago, that if or when I need the true specialist I would either see Meyers or Sartor.
