While I was at PT today, I made arrangements to have a one on one meeting with their new staff oncologist. She has about
25 years experience in dealing with "solid cancers", as opposed to "blood cancers", and her expertise is specifically with Prostate Cancer. I have been booked one hour's time.
Looking forward to this, as I can glean another opinion on my personal situation. As per the norm for me, I have no intention of telling her what other doctors have told me or suggested, nor will I tell her any of my own biases or opinions on certain aspects of our disease. I want to hear what she has to say and suggest.
She has had my medical records for a couple of weeks already, and the latest data on me. There is no charge, as this is part of the benefits for being in the Oncology Rehab. The other oncologist, also a woman, has nearly 30 years experience in dealing with "blood" cancers.
I will post an update next Tuesday evening after I meet with her.
