Hello, my husband had his prostate removed in Jan. 2000. His PSA is 17.3 now. He has had a "tea colorish" spots on the pads he has to use over the last year. The color is not red..but brownish in color. He is in stage four and is hormone refractory stage. He is only on Zolodex shots which he has had for 11 years now. He just had a bone scan and Dr. said it didn't show any cancer. He has never had chemo, which his Dr. said he should have, and he refused radiation all of these years. I was wondering if the blood showing up on his pads is chronic hematuria and wonder how serious this is. I am calling his Dr. Monday. My husband just now showed me the pad and told me it has been going on now for over a year. He does not like to talk about
his condition. He tries to avoid it. There was cancer outside the prostate in the neck of the bladder, which they removed as much of it as they possibly could when he had his prostate taken out in 2000. Thanks for your imput.
