Cajun Jeff and Pat bring cheer and joy to Sonny and Lynn

I have been a guest at Jeff and Pat's on two occasions. The first when Lynn and I stopped to meet them in person during one of our trips in the RV and second when Jeff hosted the GFMPH, Baton Rouge.

I have had the honor of having them as guests in my house for the last 3 days. As you know when Jeff got news of Lynn's setback in her cancer battle, he told me quickly that he and Pat were on their way down to visit with us.

This has been a tremendous visit from two very good friends and just plain ol great people. The amount of joy they have brought to Lynn and I can never be measured.

Lynn's spirits have been lifted from the moment Jeff and his ever present smile arrived at our door. And Pat brings just as much warmth, grace, laughter and love, with her as well. We will be saddened when they depart later today. But the feeling of the great joy, love and friendship they brought with them will remain in our house for many days to come.

There are many of us here at HW that have taken the opportunity to meet other HW members face to face. We all know the great kinship we have found here because PCa has come into out lives, but I cannot tell you how much that kinship grows when we take the time to see the face, shake the hand and talk to each other in person and in friendship.

If you have not had the opportunity to meet someone yet, please find the time to do it now. If you only get to meet one person you have met here, it is well worth the effort. You never know when that one person you take the time to meet will be the one that needed you the most.

We have had a great time, we have talked a lot and PCa has not come up much at all.

Thank you Jeff and Pat for including us in your lives. Our lives grow greatly because of your presence in it.

Yes Kev..ditto.. .. and when are you and Angela coming down for that beer you owe us?

Lovely to share your visit guys (Sonny, Lynn, Jeff & Pat)  - take care all. Lana (& CJ) - Kev owes him a beer too.

Tripple Ditto.. The GFMPH in Baton Rouge was a ton of fun. I hope others can make it to the gatherings in the future.

My wife and I are looking forward to our first GFMPH gathering. Never turn down a good party and nothing like friendships to speed the healing process.

Any one in this forum traveling through the Birmingham Alabama area is always welcome at our house. We have plenty of room and run a darn good B&B for guests. Hope when you visit you enjoy good red wine as I have a well stocked wine cellar.

They say we are lucky if we get through life with 2 good friends. Sonny and Lynn, you have a boat load of friends. Blessing to both of you and Jeff and his wife.

Guys, I have to tell you that our visit with Sonny and Lynn was just wonderful. Yep Sonny is correct as soon as he called me Pat and I started looking for a way to get to the east side of our world. Air Tickets on one day notice was out of the question. I told Pat, "Were going to drive there, its only 11 hrs away. " We split the drive to 2 days and made it easy.

It has been wonderful visiting with both Sonny and Lynn. Sonny wanted to know what I wanted to do while I was here and I just advised him that we were there for one reason only. To be with them and visit. What wonderful friends they are. Sonny and I did make a short field trip to pick up the Motor Home and bring it to the car wash. :) Picked it up later yesterday afternoon. Those of you attending Worried Guys GFMPH I will bring you some pics to see what this car wash looks like.

Undead this afternoon were going to depart and it will be sad for all of us. Parting is always difficult when so much love is sheared.

Sonny mentioned it. If you ever get the chance to meet one of the HW brothers you will understand the love that we talk about in all these post about our meeting.
