Thank you that's very kind. This is maybe not a consensus, but HW is and has always been a great site. Much of the thanks really should go to Peter Waite for putting his heart into this effort.

September 9, 10, 11 I am at the PCRI event in Los Angeles. September 24th is our fundraiser and awareness day for our UsTOO group. Also the 19th to the 22nd I'll be in Washington telling congress to not cut cancer research funding (Sen. Dean Heller from Nevada has confirmed meeting with me and I am awaiting our other Sen. Harry Reid's acceptance). The weekend before I start vocational studies for ministry with a retreat. Teaching 2 five week courses starting September 6th and seventh...and I have three RFP's due at work by mid September...

it's "part time" work here at HW, but I in many ways can't wait for October...lol and I don't think I can make it in September...

Hope all the ladies and gentlemen here continue to behave correctly so that you have little to do. (My surfing of the net over recent months draws me to the conclusion that HW has to be one of the best behaved bunch of forum members on the whole net.)

I want to add my congratulations and thanks for stepping up to do your part in keeping this forum going forward. HW has been a life saver for me and my PC journey in the last couple of months. Not only have I had so many questions answered but I have already made many new friends most of whom I will meet face to face at GFMPH next month. One of the things I most admire about this forum is that all of you dedicated moderators are one of us and are on your own PCa journeys. I have participated in other online forums in past years and in all cases the moderators were financially vested and their concerns for moderating where not always in the best interest of its members. I hear from many people here that you are one great guy and I look forward to meeting you next month in NY.

I gather that you will be taking a lesser role here for awhile as you advance your PC activist agenda. I can offer nothing but praise for your role in this important path you are taking. I do not think we could have any better a spokesman and lobbyist working  for us to find a cure and end this terrible disease we all are to familiar with.

142- One- 4 (me) -Two (for you) welcome to the mod squad assignment, will be a challenge to control possible bickering but keeps you on your toes. I am trying not to guide anybody into seeing only one urologist!!!! LOL

Congrats 142! Thank you for taking the challenge.

I know you will be a great moderator because I have seen how you step up to help people.

Being a "girl" posting in this club in not always easy, but I do appreciate you and others who have always been so helpful during my short time here.

Shall I burden you with a request?

Since prostate cancer is often a "couple's cancer," do you think it would be possible to have a "PCa Ladies Support" thread that is stickied, where some of us gals can get reach out to each other and perhaps stay a "little" out of you guys way? :)

Or, if there is already such a place, I would be happy to be directed to it.

I bumped James C.'s list of ladies sites/forums up for you. I had actually found several of those sites long before I found HW, and they were the source of a lot of good suggestions for pre & post surgery.

A separate thread for the ladies would not be a long term solution, as once these threads get long, they become difficult to manage, and sometimes just get stuck, at which point they have to be locked. Specific subject threads seem to be the best option.

We do have a lot of very long time members who are wives and daughters, and all are both welcome and encouraged to participate, and they do frequently. You are never in the way.

Thank you 142.   Nice of you to take the position.  This is a great site.  I was glad it was here for me and I'm glad there are people willing to step up for the new people that join every day (unfortunately).
