In a thread congratulating Frackme, "Jaxum" posted the following. I thought Jaxum deserves his own thread as he approaches his surgery:

Good to hear from you, it must feel good to have that part over with, i am sittin here scared out of my mind
i am going in , in one week tuesday sept.20th
i am putting my faith in God and the doctors and want to get it over with and move forward

i have gleason 4+3 and 10 out of 12 samples show cancer
i have to remind myself I HAVE CANCER, and this is what we do to survive.

Jack,

Welcome to the forum! You're in good company here with many wonderful men and women who know EXACTLY how you feel. We've been where you are and are all on different stages of our own prostate cancer journey.

I'm a longtimer here, and had a successful surgery over 5 years ago. Why am I still here? One of the reasons is to support others. If you keep posting here, it can help ease the anxiety and give you needed support. No one needs to go this journey alone.
