Thank you so very much. I admit that I sat down and cried when I got your heart felt greetings. This is the first time I cried since I got the results of my PSA testing. It was overdue. As I mentioned the biopsy scheduled for 10/03. As you are well aware the waiting is very difficult. I work in the medical field and was a medical technologist for more than 25 years. So none of this is a big surprise. I have one other issue. I have has lower back discomfort on and off for years. Of course now every twinge is metastatic carcinoma. Really no other symptoms accepts I am up about once per night to pee. I drink lots of water and usually a full glass with my PM pills. So this has been no cause for alarm with the normal PSA. But now as I mentioned everything is a symptom. Thanks again for your warm greetings. This group will be helpful I am certain.

Welcome to our Fraternity that no man will rush to join. This is the right place to find the help and answers to your questions from our collective PX experiences, and maybe you will not be so "anxious in Florida".

I am neither an expert nor a doctor but with you lower PSA IMO I doubt you have bone mets from PC that is causing your lower back pain.  Are you taking any ED oral drugs like Cialis or Levitra? If you are they could be the cause of the lower back pain.  My URO had me on daily Cialis and I developed back and leg pains that stopped when I quit Cialis and went back to Viagra. A lot of other things can cause the pain you describe but I would not be concerned that PC is the cause.

I thought the same thing at one point. Every pain in the hip or back or anywhere was surely cancer. I'm not an MD, but I also doubt that it is and I hope you do not have to join our club!
