It just crossed my mind that today, Oct 8, in the year 2008 I had my prostate cut out. How time fly's when your having fun.

Good thing: I have been in the zero club since then.
I have men man of the HW buddies on the road and at my home.
Hosted GFMPH last April.
My loving wife is by my side and walking with me
I am dry and never need to ware a pad.
I retired 2 months after my surgery
Live is wonderful and I have had the chance to travel all over our beautiful country
At this time my life can not be much better. Ever day is a blessing and I do love my life. I also live it GRAND!

NEGATIVE THINGS.
I still struggle with ED but injections are working great.
BCBS will not pay for an implant
Sex is not the same
I sure miss my fluids.

Not to bad a list for a guy that had cancer surgery 3 years ago. Wife and I will celebrate tomorrow.

Hard to believe its been 3 full years for you, times does fly.

So glad you have been able to stay in the zero club all this time, that alone is reason for a big celebration

And its great that you have been able to move on with your life, and to be able to travel and enjoy the
things that you and your wife love the most.

Hope you get many many more trouble free years away from PC ahead of you.

Well said, I feel exactly the same, and have been blessed like yourself, just a couple of months behind you. I agree with the sex thing, I can achieve most times a pistol that is cocked and ready to go, but don't have any bullets.
Its just not the same.

Congratulations Jeff and Pat - here's to a lifetime of zero's - love and understanding - and the friendship you have shared so openly with strangers (now friends and extended family) here at HW.

Hey Jeff,

I hope  2 1/2 years from now I can be in the same place that you are now. Thanks for pointing out how the good things post RRP can out weigh the bad. So many of the good things you point out I have already achieved and I can honestly say I feel better today then the day before surgery mostly from knowing that the cancer is gone from my body.

Here is too us both looking back 3 years from now and still having the same "good things" list.

Hey Jeff,

Congrats on your anniversary and string of zeroes...may they continue forever.

In my mind, the good things you list sure outweigh the negatives. Continue what you're doing and enjoy yourself and your family.

Lift a glass of that Pinot Noir from NY (if there's any left) and have a wonderful celebration with Pat.

Great post; maybe post of the year!

I'm so glad that you're doing so well at the three-year mark. I agree with Mikey. It sounds like the good stuff outweighs the negatives.

May you have a long lifetime of good health and happiness -- with one zero after another. You're truly one of the good guys, and I look forward to hanging out with you again in Baton Rouge.
