It is easy for me to think about this and then offer a post. I would have been flabbergasted and not known what to say or think on the spur of the moment. Next time you see the teacher, ask her why there was not a blue shirt day in Sept., if there wasnt. When she says something to the effect of not being aware there was a blue month, then tell her that is why he is wearing blue today. To raise awareness. And thay you would like to suggest a blue month next year if she is planning a pink month next year. Try to look at it this way, it was a lesson for your son to learn that there will be those in life, who are unwilling, but you cant give up for what you believe in. So in a way, I guess the teacher did her job and taught him something new, if that makes sense.

AYE. Send him a few hats, Sonny. He's probably not the only child in school who has a parent or grandparent affected by this disease. Perhaps a few blue ribbon pins are in order also. Give us an address of the school and I'll see that they get them.

What a great story. I am sure your husband is as proud as he can be as well.

Sonny, I vote in favor as well. I would say if he brings his mom and dad to Baton Rouge, we make him honorary chairman of the next meeting.

The USPS has possession of the official GFMPH hat for out newest Honorary Member. It should arrive at his home on Tue/Wed.

We welcome him to the club, but only as a hopefully never really fully active and participating member, if you know what I mean.

We men need young folks like him to show the world what true support and leadership looks like.

Susan thank your son for us, very much, for his support and courage.

... next month, November, is MOVEMBER in which men are encouraged to grow moustaches and raise money for prostate cancer awareness...

... maybe your school could have a MOVEMBER DAY in which all the children ( boys and girls - MO' brothers and MO' sisters) can make and wear moustaches to increase PCa awareness - pink shirts allowed, or yellow, or purple, or.....
