Sfigato, I like your analogy of the three-legged chair. Unfortunately all conventional treatments carry side-effects ~ and other treatments might mean losing a different leg, or the same leg but three years later. Or maybe the whole chair might collapse with woodworm 10 years later!
A sound, three-legged chair seems like a good deal when a good four-legged one is no longer an option.
I went with surgery sold to me at the time with an 80% chance of a "cure", a 5% chance of incontinence and a 100% chance of ED (non-nerve-sparing planned at the outset).
Three and a half years later, I have no cure, no incontinence and 100% ED. Well, maybe only 60% ED. A pump gets it up and keeps it up long enough to be like the old days, and long-term married I have no girlfriends to impress ~ not that they would have been impressed anyways (lol!).
So here I sit on my three-legged chair which is still basically sound, but there are some concerns about
the sawdust starting to appear underneath. Anyone know a good cure for woodworm?
