I had replied to your Lucrin thread ----- that is why I was curious as to what happened. I don't think I nor anybody else would consider that post political. That does not mean it could have not become so as "142" rightly warned us against. Sometimes the very mention of universal healthcare causes the barricades to be manned and sabres rattled. My reply was in reference to your mention of the price of Lucrin (ie what you actually paid for it Vs the list price which you attributed to possession of a seniors card). Like many of the hormone therapies, Lucrin is covered under the PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme), a part of the universal health scheme in Australia. Regardless of age, the cost to any individual who needs it is $34-20 (the maximum co-payment for any drug listed under the PBS) which falls to $5-60 if you are a senior citizen or in receipt of any sort of concession card (unemployment, disability, etc) I believe Australia's health system is very much like that of Canada in this respect.
