Alternate sides! I can't do any thing left handed tongue My syringes are insulin type,1ml. the pharmacist said go to 30 line. that would be 0.3 ml. I still haven't had the nerve to do the poke. nono

You can use your right hand on both sides -- just move things around until you get a good angle. DaSlink, go for it!

I also use a 5/16 needle with good results. I have been on Trimix for about two years and my only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. I use a very low dosage of .10 and have very good results. With a little practice and some trial and error getting the proper doasage you should be able to get good results also. I do recommend alternating sides to keep the soreness down. To those of you who are worried about sticking Mr. Happy, don't worry...he will actually thank you for it :-)

DaSlink – just do it … every minute Willie stands up adds an hour to your life. smilewinkgrin The poke is really not bad at all.  At most - a small mosquito bite, if that.  And that part is over quickly.  Then the fun begins!!!  Also think about the rehabilitative benefit; erections of at least 6 on the hardness scale (out of 10) bring new blood into the penis and that helps rehabilitate the nerves.

 

Trimix -- My doc started me on 0.05cc in the office, 0.07cc at home, gradually going up to .20cc where I’m at now.  I use a 29G, ½ inch needle.  I routinely get a maximum of 9 or 10 and I’m 6+ for 25 to 45 minutes.  For rehab you need to be 6+ for 10 to 15 minutes.  And yes, you should alternate sides.  Also my doc said I couldn’t increase the dose without clearing it with him first.

Well, I have been having mixed results with my trimix injections and not really sure now if I am doing this right. I started with .33 cc, tried that a couple of times and now bumped up to .4 cc, it takes about 15-20 min for anything to happen and the results are not very good, takes lots of stimulation to really get anywhere.

Do I just keep upping my dose until I get some firm results ?? (pun intended)

Any input would be appreciated.

Are you under any instructions from your urologist or other specialist with your trimix prescription? My experience was that I injected low dosage of bimix at urology rooms (not very active result) and went home with a bunch of diagrams, chart of increasing doses, as well as the vial of stuff, syringes, two size of needles and alcohol wipes.

The dosage increases went up in increments of about 50% (I think I did 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0 and 1.5). I then did the sequence again with trimix once we determined bimix wasn't strong enough for me. Please interpret these numbers with the likelihood that I am using a more DILUTE mix than you. I have tried to ascertain the actual component strengths from my formulator without any clear picture. However they were conservative and very insistent about being alert to the real danger of priapism (prolonged erection being >4 hours). I was getting very firm at about 1.0 dose and increased in small steps (1.2, 1.4, 1.5 and bingo!). The 1.5 I settled on for several shots before I started slowly reducing amounts.
We all have different expectations, I like to get about 1.5 hours of real hardness before it dies away, for the rejuvenating effect of good blood flow.

I have been gradually dropping amounts and this week was approaching priapism (3.5hrs of steel rod!) at 1.1 so sensitivity or something is definitely kicking in. I have also recently been getting early morning firm erections spontaneously, 2 days after the last meds so the bloodflow generated by trimix is very beneficial. Be encouraged friend, trimix is a great solution for many who have almost given up hope.

Short answer (sorry for the long ramble) is work on consistency of injecting (alternate left, right and try to inject into a "plumped up" organ). Stimulation of the physical and mental definitely plays it's part (for me anyway). If you think you are injecting consistently and not getting enough wood, make small increases - I would be guessing at a next dosage for you of 0.55ml(cc).

Best of fortune Trimix, you are getting some effect so it sounds like it's just a mateer of finding your right amount.

I tried all the pills, the pump, the shots, and ended up getting an implant.

I really like that fact that i don't have to worry about getting a prescription filled, taking the pill, refrigerating my trimix, having to worry about transporting my pills or trimix, or even worse carrying around a pump, when on vacation or traveling.

I am always ready, never have to worry if it will work or not, and all my equipment is always with me and nobody can tell a thing.

Anyway, if anyone want more information on a penile implant, I can give you all the information I have.

Hi Trimix,

A gentle side to side massage with one hand while you constrict at the base with the other is all that is needed to work the medication into each chamber. To much stimulation is actually pushing the medication out and causing less of a result.

Injecting either side is exactly the same procedure, thats what makes the auto injector a valuable tool. It frees up one hand to constrict the base and allow the medication to be absorbed. Blood flows quickly and the normal bloodflow rate will rapidly remove the medication and result in nothing if you do not hinder that flow out of the penis. The injection only gets medication into one chamber, you need to work it over to the other side chamber with your fingers

No need to wait 15 minutes to see if it worked, you will know in 5 minutes. My procedure was plump, constrict, wipe with pad, inject, massage side to side chambers with index and thumb for 60 seconds, release constriction and done. The effects are noticeable at that point, it takes another 2 minutes to fully work. The wipe, inject and massage were all done with the same hand, the other hand continues to constrict during this time, its only 70-80 seconds total (10-20 seconds to wipe, inject, 60 seconds massage)

Slick operation Mr Gimpy! Will try to follow your lead. Consistency can be an issue, I had a near overdose on Sunday although it was my current baseline dose. Must have done everything too well!

I guess the 90% I thought I had with my first injection was a stretch :-) My goal now is to try and get consistent results, rock hard (100%)for at least 1 hr for rehab.

I did take the recommendation and pumped willie up last night before the injection and I did find that gave me better results and easier to find a good injection spot. I did increase the amount to .45 cc, getting closer.

Technic does play a big roll in getting this right.

I have been using Trimix for 5 months and my current RX is double the concentration of the original so that I do not have to use as much which keeps the cost down per injection.

The RX is PAPV 30MG/PHENTLMN 1.5MG/PE-1 20MCG/ML

I use a 30ga 1/2" BD syringe that is in units, cc and ML. (100 units = 1cc or 1 ml) I am using .35cc/ml or 35 units to achieve a full erection that lasts about 11/2 to 2 hours.

The original RX was PAPV 30MG/PHENTLMN .5 MG/PE-1 10MCG/ML. I started at .30ml and increased it per URO instructions by .05ml each injection until I got to the .7ml that worked which took about 2 months.

I do not take any oral meds any more as the 100MG Viagra had no effect and gave me blue vision and a headache. I was using 25mg of Viagra in between injections per the URO advice but stopped about a month ago and have noticed no difference. I get 0 side effects from the Trimix and my wife and I love it. I used an auto injected at first but now I inject freestyle and have no pain at all.

I have found if I auto stimulate Willie before the injection it will plump up some and make it easier to find the veins and a good place for the injection site. I also do the constriction technique as described by others in this post.

I also got an indication from my URO last month that since I get 0 response from oral meds and due to the high amount of Trimix I need the long term prospects for my nerves healing and once again having natural erections is not very good. sad

Terry, don't give up yet on being able to get a rise out of the pills. I never got anything of consequence out of them but 3 months on trimix has brought some physiological changes to willy.

I am now interspersing injections 4 days apart with viagra and feeling some spontaneous rising happening and especially some mornings when I am almost erect when I wake up. My surgeon was hopeless with anything other than saving my life. Shouldn't I be grateful?

Well, I am now up to .5 cc of trimix, been injecting every other day and things are getting better. I have tried some new things that have been suggested by the experienced group and they are helping out also. I pump up with a VED, inject and then leave it for a while before I take the ring off. I am also now standing up for a bit before I lay down. All this and some patience seems to be paying off.

With my current dose and system of injection, I am now getting hard much quicker and it is staying that way for about 45 min :-)


Boy, I am really glad now that I did not inject 1.0 cc on my first try like my Uro wanted me to do !!! Thanks for all the help on this forum I think it kept me from a trip to the ER.

Trimix, one thing you may want to watch is the frequency of your injections. You said you are doing an injection every other day and my URO and most sources I have read say the most you should inject is 2 to 3 times a week or 10 times a month total and alternate injection sites on both side of your penis. Scarring from the injections can lead to some other problems from too frequent injections.

I do alternate sides. My uro said there is no absolute limit on frequency but recommends every other day at most.

I believe even Dr Mulhall says 2-3 times a week and 10 max Trimix injections per month. Here is a link to a TRIMIX instructions sheet that also backs this up with max 3 times a week.

Here is what it says on the Trimix Site:

General Rules For Injection;

"Injections should be given at a maximum of three times per week or once every 2 days."

So does that mean you could give yourself maximum of 3 injections in a row in 1 week or 1 injection every other day and both are ok ?? Seems like they are thinking that if you give yourself a break every other day that you could actually end up safely having more injections per month.

I’m seeing an ED specialist and he says 2 to 3 times per week. And they can be 3 days in a row; as long as I wait 24 hours between injections.

My Uro told me to start with .25 and increase as needed. The pharmacist said if I went over .5 I should get the next stronger mix. The first time .25 wasn't doing enough, so I put .25 in the other side and gave her a hard time. The second time I started with .5, then 30 minutes later again put .25 in the other side to get the desired effect.

I found this forum while searching to see if the 5/16 needle might not be going deep enough into the cavernosum. I may try .25 in each side next time before talking to the Uro about it.

Hello Deguello! Welcome to the forum. Hope we can help.

You are sort of on your own about the dose. You're as likely to find two men with the same fingerprints as to find two men who react the same to various doses of trimix. That's going to have to be between you and your doctor although I will say that we usually recommend a more gradual search for the right dosage where you try each dose twice (on different nights) and only go up 20 percent for the next attempt. So, if 25 units didn't work for you after two attempts you would try 25x1.2 = 30 units and if that didn't work twice then 30x1.2= 36 then 36x1.2 = 44 then 53 and at that point you'd probably want to ask your doctor about a stronger mix.

As for the length of the needle, most guys have found that 5/16 is enough. One trick to help prevent the occasional dud is to press the plunger gently and if you feel resistance press the needle harder against you skin to advance the needle another 1/8 of an inch. Your penis is filled with little blood chambers that fill up with blood to make you erect. Sometimes the needle winds up between the little chambers. When this happens it's hard to push the plunger and the medicine doesn't wind up where you need it. It just makes a little lump where you injected it. Pushing the needle just a bit farther in if the plunger is hard to push will usually avoid that problem.
