We met with the oncologist again yesterday. The goodnews is the PSA is <.01 so we are elated that Dad is still part of the "zero" club.
She is recommending "Prolia" which apparently is simliar to Zometa. It is an "injection" not an infusion.
I didn't see any posts on here from anyone using it for Prostate cancer. Any thoughts?
There is a national shortage right now (3 doctors at 3 different hospitals are out of it) so Dad has to wait until April at his next visit. It doesn't sound as if it's a deal breaker for him to have it but with the bone mets and beginning signs of osteoporosis she feels it's a good step to take.
Would love to know your thoughts....
