postop, oops forgot, there are places in the US between the 2 coasts, I have only lived on the coasts, lol. Yes, my opinion too, San Francisco most beautiful city in the US. Been married nearly 38 years, we never had a real honeymoon, hoping to do a week in Frisco before this year is out, supposedly, my last boss is going to foot the cost of the entire trip all done first class, we shall see.
davidg - if we have to play the Giants again, it will be a mega revenge game from the Patriot's perspective. That was the year we went 18-1, something that has never been duplicated, and lost by a lousy field goal. If this ends up being the match up again, it will be an epic battle for sure

18 wins and one Giant loss...
Yeah, it would certainly be a super bowl with a storyline.

Seems like the survey results have been updated...Excuse me, someone, but I think that's cheating! ;) Good thing no money is involved.

Wow... hard to say Eli isn't in the elite group of QBs now. He faced as stout a D as I have ever seen and still managed to bring it home. He was rushed, hit, sacked dozens of times yesterday but still threw for over 300 and 2TDs without ever turning the ball over. He kept his cool the entire game. I thik he's arrived.
I was up until 5AM watching it because I had to see post game coverage.
So here we go again, us and the Pats with the Pats rightfully being the massive favorites. Jus thow the Giants like it.
I've promised my son he can be up with me all night watching it and skip school the next day.
Anyway, that was a great game. I feel both Giants and certainly Patriots got lucky yesterday. No way should Evans not hold on to that game winning TD. And a pro bowl kicker missing a 23 yard field goal is improbable.

One day I am going to get one of you yanks to explain that game to me. For example how many times can the ball be passed?

No beer before the game? How cruel for the players. In rugby (either league or union) the ball can only be passed level or backwards ------ never forward but there is no limit on the number of hands it can be passed to. (although it can be kicked forward and regathered by the kicker or any player coming from behind him when the ball is kicked). In the few games of gridiron I have watched I have seen the ball thrown forward (to a receiver?) or handed on by the quarterback (?) behind the play, but I have never seen this done more than once during a play. Are they not permitted to do this? Additionally does the attacking side have a limited number of plays in which they must gain a certain number of yards to retain possession of the ball?

They are, but when seen it's only a desperation play after official time has expired. PLay can end after the last second has ticked off if the time expired during a play. This is purely desperation play and rarely, if ever, results in points. In American football their are also only designated recievers. Not everyone can be thrown the ball. Although everyone can pick up a fumble/loose ball.
