Thanx for quick reply and interest. I noticed the term "external" on the hospital discharge form. I think it might just mean external to the natural sphincters. I understand the equipment operates just the same as the AUS advertised apparatus. It was however implanted through just one incision and I thought there would be two incisions.
The more important question for me is............why did the flow stop after catheter removal? Had I been too active? Cystoscopy indicated the urethra was clean after the RP. The latest catheter went in smoothly, likely indicating the cuff is not too tight or somehow got itself activated. What could have been done during AUS implantation that would have caused urethra blockage?
Glad to hear everyone is doing good with their AUS's.
