What was the outcome with member bobbaily from ages ago?

I have been reading lots of back posts trying to learn as much as possible (as quickly as possible). You get to "know" people who post, and it's easy to become involved with their day to day anxieties and issues. 

One of these was a member called "bobbaily", who initiated a post on 2/3/2007 which had 79 replies before it was locked. (First post was on page 529 I think).

Bobbaily had raised PSA, and some symptoms and was brushed off by first urologist.  He went to 2nd urologist who was slightly better, and then was scheduled for a proper biopsy.  I read all 79 posts, and finally came to the last post where he was due to go for the biopsy the next day which was going to determine the likelihood of P.Cancer.  This was in his post of 16/04/2007.

And that's where it ends.  No more after that.  What happened to him?  What did the third biopsy the next day reveal?   His wife was so very, very worried and had become clinically depressed and quite ill over the situation.  Did everything end well?  I have tried searching his name, but nothing more comes up.

I feel like I have read to the last chapter of a book but someone has ripped out the last few pages or have watched a movie and missed the last few minutes. 

I know this only sounds like morbid curiosity, but in reading all these back posts I feel I know many of you quite well, like friends.   I feel concerned about all of you.

The user had logged on some days after, but has not logged on since then (April 2007).

A lot of those who come here can and do move on afterwards (which is something we like to see, of course).

It is interesting that the thread was locked without any sign of argument. It might have been too long (too many posts) for the software at the time, but it might have also gotten off course, cleaned up, and locked.

I did see comments from other early mods that there was a practice of locking older threads just to close them out, even if there was no "foul". Makes sense.

Before my time here -

You can't tell when the thread was locked, just when the last post currently in the thread was added. That is why we sometimes put a post in telling briefly what happened.

Lets say everything was fine when that post was added, the member never came back, but the thread was pulled back up and hijacked by a spammer weeks, or even years, later. If a mod came in and cleaned out the spam, then locked it without adding a post, it would appear to have been done on the date of the last post left in the thread. That happens more often than you might think.

The key for your question is that he has not signed back in since April of 2007.
