Well in about
an hour I head to my local doc's office for my first psa test since completing my proton beam therapy treatment at IU Health. My last treatment was Oct. 19, so this is essentially a 3 month waiting period test. I have been somewhat of a cheerleader for PBT but I have to admit I am a little nervous about
finally getting some official results as to whether my treatment was successful. I understand the nature of psa and how it can fluctuate some after radiation before starting a decline, but nonetheless, it is a nervous time for me, to be sure.

Skeeter, its been two years since I had robotic surgery for my early stage PC and even though all of my post surgery PSA tests have reported 0.00, I still have some worry about
what the tests will show when I get the results. I'm more confident now that things have not changed for a while but I doubt I'll ever be free of some worry.

Please let us know how it goes. I'm betting it will be good news. I'm already looking ahead to my 1st PSA post treatment, and I'm not even a week out from brachytherapy. It's completely normal to be a little anxious.

Best of luck to you Skeeter. You are our poster boy for Proton RT.
