Just a call for better overall quality of our posting lately. No one in particular has me posting. I am guilty of having not been around as much and reading threads in detail. After a couple of dust ups and an upset member posting I did some reading tonight. There's a lot of posts that would be edited in other forums and I would prefer that they improve on their own as opposed to having us moderators start editing rules violations. One reason our forum tolerates more of the negative polarizing posts is because we actually tend to be a mature enough group and can handle it relatively well. Some in our group actually want this divisiveness. But also most don't want the personal attacks or condescension. We'll do what we have to in order to keep this sight respectful and peaceful. If any actions are taken, please understand that it sometimes becomes necessary to stop negative chatter and try to move threads along on their original topic. Just a reminder of our Forum conduct rules:
Forum Rules:
www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=46Our Admin simplified these rules recently and he softened them a bit. Perhaps some didn't see them change so here they are as a reminder.
I wrote an article in the HealingWell Blog a while back on how I personally feel about
this forum. If you haven't seen it here it is. It is I assure you very heart felt:
www.healingwell.com/2011/03/coming-together.htmlI hope this can be a peaceful reminder to think about
keeping peace in your posts. It really helps the volunteers both the moderators and members mentoring others. But it really really helps the new folks coming here for support and information. The information can be divisive but not the personal attacks.
I'll get back to my family time here and hope I got the message out that I wanted to convey.
Peace to all..
Tony
