Half way, gout and car trouble

I finished my 13th EBRT today. No bad side effects yet but the hemorrhoids are starting to be annoying and by the end of the week I am a bit tired.

Yesterday I had a bit of a gouty attack in my knee (I've had this for years and yes it's in my knee not toe). Good thing I had the meds at home for that and today it is better.

The real problem this week was after I finished my treatment I went to start the car and the battery was nearly dead. No lights left on just a 5 year old battery giving up on me at a most inconvenient time. I called the auto club and they sent out a truck and replaced the battery on the spot (likely I've over paid for a less than top of the line battery). At least they had me on my way in 30 minutes with a new battery.

Of all the problems I was worried about with PC, car problems in the clinic parking lot was not on my list.

so can any other really wacky things happen here? ;)

hang tough big cat - the week-end has arrived and a failed battery is a small thing. (Small thing but d**n frustrating when you are sitting in a a dead automobile). My EBRT starts in April - I will be glad to have it as water under the bridge. Pave the way and be strong!

Today I slept in and am now about to take a little walk over to the local starbucks for my weekend coffee treat. We've got a sunny day here so I am planning on enjoying the good weather.

I stopped by the pharmacy on my way home yesterday and got the hemorrhoid supplies - wipe, suppositories and starting using them. So far that has helped.

It's strange - I don't really feel physically tired but rather mental/emotionally drained.

Looks like it will warm up enough for me to get into the shop this afternoon and do the glues ups I've been wanting to do.

I was talking to a friend of mine that is also under going radiation treatment for PC and told him about the battery problem.

He replied that it must be the radiation because his truck battery died on Monday and it was only replaced last year.

So there you go - another possible side effect of PC. Your car battery might die.

My hobby is wood working and marquetry. For the last year I've been mostly doing marquetry work.

One thing I like a marquetry is that it doesn't require a lot of heavy lifting and I can just create some nice things while just sitting on the shop stool.

You may want to consider putting a link to your blog in your signature.

I've had a bit of a debate with myself over that. I go back and forth on whether or not to include that and wasn't sure if the forum rules allowed that (but I've been too lazy to go check).
