Hi

Had my 8 month post treatment clinical trial visit.

Psa 0.01 :)

Don't know how long it will last but all good now.

Woo Hoo! duke68, I'm still your biggest fan! I go in for my 2nd to last Avastin treatment next week and finish up on Feb. 29th.

btw: I had a BP spike (165/100) so they put me on a minimum dose of Lisinopril. Now I'm back to 120/75. Looking forward to going off all these meds in March/April timeframe.

High Five on those results ... long may it last!

Did/Are you guys tolerating Avastin pretty well? My husband had about 7 treatments of it but Onco took him off due to severe pain and burning during urination that began shortly after he started it. It was added to his treatment plan after he had already had about 7 treatments of Abraxane/Carboplatin, (he had an immediate allergic reaction to Taxotere, so Abraxane was substituted). Just wondering since it looks likely he will go on chemo again at some point this year.

I mentioned the Blood Pressure spike. The only other thing has been minor nosebleeds - I almost hesitate to call them nosebleeds as there was just some blood in my tissue when I blew my nose. Now that's virtually gone.

Edit: The third "frequent" side-effect is headaches.  Luckily, I've had none.

Jerry hope you have the same results :).

As well as all in the trial.

Had the high blood pressure but just to the upper limit so nothing to lower it.It's back to normal.

Only SF I had other than the high blood pressure was a couple of minor nose bleeds quickly controlled.

I had no physical signs of the treatment other than the nose bleeds.

The side effects of the ADT2 where the most troubling.

I just re-read your post. "7 treatments" - for the trial I'm on, I'm only getting 8 treatments.
