My husband had RP Oct 13, 2011 and we now are facing the next stage of this horrible journey.
His PSA was never undectable post-op and have seen 3 Oncologists 2 of whom recommend RT.
We are staring on HT today with Lupron and have been on Casodex for 1 week orally.
The dilema is weather to do radiation.
His stats are below and is having a rising PSA , but have read that there is a small window of opportunity where radiation would be beneficial and that it should be done before the PSA reaches 1.0., and his is now 3.5.
Looking at my husbands Path report noticed he has Perineural Invasion as the Dr. did Bundle Sparring so perhaps some cancer was left behind.
I have read posts where some say it's normal terminology for perineural invasion and not to worry about it, but if there could be a chance some cancer was left behind there, we might be a bit more positive.
Has anyone expeirenced our situation?
I hope our stats are below as we are new to this site and tried doing our signature
Thanks ,
BOOGEE
