New drug for prostate cancer?

I was watching Chicago News last night, they state that Northwestern University has developed a new drug called KBU2046 that stops prostate cancer cells from leaving the prostate bed, they claim that it shuts off the switch in the cells, you can check this out at the Northwestern Universitys site, just wondering if anyone else has heard anything else on this new drug?

Doing a Google, I found this statement

Prof Bergan added: "We envision that this drug, if shown to be effective in clinical trials, could be used to treat men diagnosed with prostate cancer, so they wouldn't need more aggressive procedures. Or, the drug could augment the effectiveness of surgery and radiation."

Of note "f shown to be effective in clinical trials" - My take is its a while before we may see this one.

Still nice to see the medical community is continuing to explore new drugs.
