ICING during Taxotere infusion

I have been told that icing of the hands, feet and scalp during Taxotere infusion prevents neuropathy and hair loss. In checking with two major New York City hospitals, I was told that they knew nothing about this tx and that it has never been requested before.

Has anyone ever heard of this before?

When my husband had taxotere he used cold packs on his hands and feet including his heels. The only time had some numbness was when they were short packs for his heels. They use them, where he was treated, as a rule with everyone who has this drug.

KAK - Do up mind sharing where your husband is being treated. I would like to get some info so that the hospital where my husband is being treated would make it protocol.
