Todd support your discussion and only you (we) walk the walk and might look over all our possible choices and decide what we wish to do or even not do, some patients might even give up whenever they want, and that is their right in their walk. As you just noticed, I saw this happen many years ago now, PCa forums have a huge mix of patients, some that are W.W./A.S. guys, some that are cured or appear to be cured surgery or radiation guys and then some guys whom have to fight their ultimate life war.
This is why the original
www.prostate-help.org (founded by Don Cooley, recently deceased now) had his PCa group of international web people, end up with two forums and splintered off, thus the new one still available to all is
www.hrpca.org (Howard Hansen was in charge, he died not long ago but left a legacy of information and his family continues in his footsteps). The Hrpca website is for patients that are incureable scenarios and has a list of 'proven treatments' for PCa, no not cures, but have some proven results in fighting the disease. This is why also on
www.prostatepointers.org they have segmented many groups into various types of treatments and the discussions end up more tailored to the patients and there issues. It happens to make sense and is a good thing. The
www.paactusa.org newsletter is good in that it has information on all levels at one point or another and so very broad spectrum, but more so on patients needing advanced treatments and there battles. Also,
www.yananow.net has a wide spectrum of information on all levels of patients journies. They say birds of feather flock together, and soar with the eagles, but they also say don't date the Pigeon sisters they are cooo-cooo (yeah the gals from the movie the Odd Couple).
Now what is a good Friday joke?
