Todd,
Did I forget to mention the needles were humungous for the leukapheris? It wouldn't have helped if I did. You are correct that Friday's regular size needle will be a piece of cake versus what you experiences yesterday. In reading the various reports, they harvested about 2% of your white blood cells, which seems like a small amount after they push your blood completely through twice through the machine.
Lets hope that you are one of the many that do not have side effects during the infusion. I didn't have any. The one suggestion is that when you show up, have them give you the Bennidryl immediately when you arrive. They have to wait to begin the infusion for 30 minutes post taking the antihistamines. For treatments 2-4 I shaved about an hour off the total process by having them give me the pills as I walked in.
Plan on feeling a little punky this weekend with minor flu like symptons, achy, tired, and maybe some minor chills. Nothing major, but don't plan on feeling 100%.
Sure glad you are underway in the process. Welcome to the Provenge brotherhood, Bro.
