PSA time. I'll  do the vampire victim thing on Tuesday and pick up the results on Thursday. I hate this time. Doing it monthly these days.

Incidentally, we have been on vacation. Spent some time in Chicago (great town -- saw my Tigers beat the White Sox and ate very well) and then continued driving to Branson, Mo. What a lovely area. We went from flatland to beautiful rolling hills. Saw some great shows, too, and visited Silver Dollar City, a large amusement park. They had a bluegrass festival there, so plenty more entertainment. This was our first time in Mo.

We did have Wi-Fi. While I did make this a cancer worry free vacation, I have to admit to lurking on HW just a tad (couldn't resist).

Back to the updates:

I have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Lam on June 29th so we just booked a trip to California. We will spend 10 days there, visiting our daughter and others.

Ms. WorryWart  -- yes, we are staying at that place!

Hope everyone is doing okay, and not too exhausted from talking about the PSA controversy.

PS.... I couldn't help my dang self and had to vent on the PSA controversy. :)

Actually, it relieved a little stress to vent.

Mel, good luck with the PSA test. I am also on a monthly cycle. Just got my last result a few days ago and will have blood drawn again in 10 days or so. What a life. I will also be enjoying a California vacation at the end of June, 10 days. No Dr appoints though. I will be visiting, SF, yosemite and carmel/monterey. Really looking forward to it. BB

Good luck compiler and BB_Fan. Just had blood drawn for my 10 month appt. (went at 3 mos., 3 mos. and now 4 mo.).

And unlike you guys, I don't even get a vacation out of the deal. But I'll be more than happy to settle for another "undetectable".

Have fun on the trips - I love California btw.

Mel, welcome back. Good to see you again and it sounds like you enjoyed the little mental health break. Good luck with the tests next week. I know that the reason for the travel ain't the best excuse for visiting California, but getting the chance to see family is the bonus for sure.

Our ideal trip to Ca. would be to fly into SF and drive down the PCH!

But the doctor is in Marina del Rey and our daughter lives in Santa Monica (5 minutes away -- or 25 minutes, depending on the traffic). We will take a side trip visiting friends in Palm Desert

Couldn't help but comment on your trip to Mo. THe family had a wonderful place at Table Rock Lake for several years and I loved spending a couple of weeks a year there. When my kids were small we'd include Silver Dollar City for them and most recently for my grandchildren. Good golf courses, tons of good food and very relaxing. If you plan another trip there let me know and I'll fill you in on some other attractions. Sometimes Branson gets a bad rap for all the kitschy stuff but they've done a wonderful job as far as tourism goes. It's not all for the silver-haired people going to see Andy Williams.

Good luck, Mel and enjoy that vacation!  Ron's came back *ZERO* again!

Ralph, we went to Branson 3 years in a row.  Last time, they were building a new amusement park in the area.  They now have a theater where American Idols are now singing.  Usually 5 at a time for about four weeks.  We thought about going there again; however, things are much more expensive than 6 years ago.  How great to enjoy vacation time with your Grandchildren!  Awesome.

Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself in Chi-town...although you went to the wrong ballpark. And very glad, for your sake, to hear that you are eating well, and hopefully exercising regularly, too, as you look ahead to monitoring your results.

Mel, I think you might remember Ron and I are definitely Tigers fans.  We hope to take three of the Grandchildren to a game soon.  I hope you get a lower PSA!
