For three years, I have had a PSA of 0.10 or less.  Yesterday,

it was 0.28.  I was unpleasantly suprised at that and am now

quite worried.  I have another test in six weeks.  Anyone else

go through anything similar?

sorry to hear that increase. it may be a fluke (hopefully), or it may be a strong indication of BCR underway, hopefully that next test will bear better results, if not, may be time to line up a good Radiation Oncologist if you end up needing SRT.

When I had my BCR, PSA went from .07 to .28 in 3 months. I couldn't wait for another 3 months, and my Uro was good enough to order another PSA for the following week. Of course it won't tell you anything other that the first one was/or wasn't a testing error. Best wishes. BB

I guess I am a little confused. You posted on 3/13/2010 that your PSA was .1 How often did you have your PSA tested after it reached .1? I would think that it has been going up for over 2 years now. What has your doctor been telling you about your rising PSA? I think it is obvious you are in full fledged BCR and need to consider some sort of secondary treatement.

Wow 6 weeks is a long time to worry about this, why not go ahead and retest sooner?

I agree with what Chris says. I don't know what PSA test equipment your lab uses but, 0.1 is not an undetectable result. If you retest and the 0.28 is confirmed then you need to talk to an oncologist. I hope it turns out to be a lab error.
