My Lovely Lynn has lef this earth and is suffering no more

My brothers and sisters, my lovely Lynn passed away this afternoon at 2pm.

She had fought a 6 year, long and painful battle with cancer and is now pain free and at peace.

She had a glorious day today. Her personal aid from hospice was here today and treated my wife to a morning at the spa. Bathing, hair washing, body oils, the works, all the things that women take great joy in. My wife always looked forward to her visits as the house was filled with great spirit, comfort, and joy when she walked into the room.

Barley 5 minutes after the aid had left my wife remarked what a great day it was. Another one of our Bonus Days. Then she took a few deep breaths and passed so very peacefully. Without pain and suffering.

She will be sorely missed no doubt, but I find tremendous solace knowing that she is now without pain for eternity.

Thank you for sharing so much of you and your beautiful bride Lynne.

Even though I never actually meet her, I feel like I do know her.

One very special lady. May she rest in peace and sing with the angels.

Dear Sonny,

What an impact this women had on my life. I only met her one weekend, but I can honestly say she was one of the most beautiful, vivacious, intelligent women I have met. Never a complaint, always hoping for tomorrow.

I shall miss her, as I know your heart must be so heavy. I will be thinking of you in the coming days.

Oh my God, I am weeping reading this, both with sorrow for your deepest personal loss, and for knowing that all her earthly sufferings have passed. I am so thankful that I had the 2 visits with you and Lynn, you were indeed a lucky and blessed man to share the time you two had together. My heart feels broken for you, and the rest of your family.

There's not a doubt in my mind or heart, that your Lynn is in heaven right now, being comforted by angels. May she rest in eternal peace and comfort. May God find a way to mend your heart as well.

Sonny,

I also did not get the chance to meet your lovely wife but I feel like I have known her for years through her spirit in you that you shared with all of us. I did shed  tears when I heard the news, not for Lynn as she is now with the angels in heaven, but for you as my friend and brother with PC. You and Lynn have been such an inspiration to so many of us on HW and to many you are our heroes.

Please keep us informed as to when her memorial of life will be held in Orlando, as many of your HW brothers will want to be at your side, including myself. 

Keep enjoying your bonus days my friend.

OH Sonny, Words escape me at this point know that Pat and I are with you and Ryan sharing your loss. Pat and I are so grateful that you have allowed us into your lives.

This quote "Barley 5 minutes after the aid had left my wife remarked what a great day it was." says it all my friend. The two of your are remarkable and Lynn has made such a great impression on ours lives.

Sonny , my Brother,

Although we have spoken on the phone today, I feel compelled to express further support for you and Ryan at this most difficult time. I called our Ms. Jeannie at work, and of course Kevin in Meridian, ID, and Krystal in Washington state to share the sad news. But, I find myself feeling a sense of relief knowing that cancer can no longer cause the unbearable pain that Lynn has suffered these past years. Something that she never deserved, nor asked for.

And, we love you and applaud you for your compassion and dedication to your wife. We have a sense of what you have been going through yourself, and you are our hero for all that you have given of yourself to your Lynn and Ryan.

Know, that our family is hear for you and yours.

Sonny, I am so sorry. I hurt all over for you, for Lynn and your son, Ryan. Heaven has gained a brilliant star and your love for each other will be a blazing beacon as long as I live.

Please accept my deepest condolences on Lynn's passing. I always thought it was my loss never to have met Lynn. I'm really feeling the loss today. It seems unimaginable what the loss must be to you.

It's good that she went peacefully, and it's no small consolation that she no longer suffers. My wishes now are for you, my friend. I wish you peace and comfort in the knowledge that the love of your life no longer suffers, and in the fact that you had such wonderful times together. Many people never know such happiness, and I know yours was the real thing. If any two people ever deserved such a great ride together, surely it must have been you and Lynn.

Oh Sonny...my heart breaks for you and your family but is rejoicing that Lynn's suffering is over. Words fail me, dear friend, other than to say that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

On Monday afternoons, I volunteer to spend 30 minutes praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament. In the Catholic faith, the host is exposed every weekday. Since the Church teaches that the Blessed Sacrament is never to be left unattended, people volunteer to spend 30 minutes or more praying in the chapel where It is exposed. At 3:00 pm today, it was my turn and I devoted my prayers to all the sick and dying, mentioning Lynn in particular.

Although I never met Lynn, I will never forget the picture of her you showed me that Louisiana night in April. Lynn's lovely face glowed as she smiled, a face I will remember always. My heart goes out to you and your family, Sonny. If just a photograph can have such an impact on me personally, I can only imagine what a wonderful person she was. The memory of her face in that photo will be cherished.

Sonny, My family has been keeping yours in our prayers, and we will continue to keep your family close in our hearts. It is difficult watching a loved one suffer with cancer, but I am glad she had such a wonderful last day on this earth, and that your mrmories of this last day was one in which she was happy, relaxed and is now without pain as she enters Heaven. Thank you for sharing this journey with us.
