Sorry if this has been posted already, didn't see it.

I just read the article Kbota posted and then saw this. While viewing was thinking that another reason to fight (in my opinion) is because we don't know what new treatments and/or options will become available.

I saw this live on Sunday with Dr Samadi and Dr Siegel. They both appear almost every Sunday morning on FOX News between 9am and 10am CST. It sounds like according to them both, close to 30 new drugs and treatments for both prostate and breast cancer are being fast tracked by the FDA for release this year. This is really good news for any one with advanced PC and this should be an exciting year for all of us fighting the beast.

Please do not flame me as I do not want to start a long discourse on Dr Samadi but these FOX news segments offer some great insight into new medical treatments.

Another reason for those with low risk PCa to consider AS. Why panic and rush to a radical 20th century treatment when there's hope for advanced medicine to offer 21st century options in the near future?

that's a very good point, and one anyone with a new diagnosis of PC should strongly consider. AS is a good choice for those with a minimal PC dx. It may not help any of us at this exact age of treatment, but its encouraging to think, that one day, people will look back to these "babaric" times of invasive surgeries and toxic treatments. That's something to hope for, at least for the next generation of PC patients.

For many many years prior to 2007 or so, there was  almost nothing being develoed for advanced Pca. But in the last few, there has been a veritable explosion......no doubt the drug companies have realized there are hundreds of thousands of us with advancing/advanced disease...hence there is big money to be made....follow the money trail.Sadly you either need good insurance or have big money to take advantage these.
