David, your recent post worries me...loss of appetite and acute weight loss are not good things. Frankly, I would look into this sooner rather than later since it's possible that your severe fatigue is coming from malnutrition caused by inflammatory bowel disease or something similar. For what it is worth, I would not wait until mid July to get this looked at. While a colonoscopy poses severe risks for you, perhaps a virtual colonoscopy will help a gastroenterologist figure out what the heck is going on. Unfortunately, a virtual colonoscopy is limited in what can be accomplished (such as biopsies and removal of any polyps) but it just might give the doctor a clue as to what the heck is going on with you.
Hey David, you addressed the colonoscopy in this post, but I didnt see you address keeping your Dr. informed of this new situation. I would hate for you to post that you waited, and the Dr. cancelled your procedure due to unexplained/unexpected weight loss. I have been doing my best to show you unconditional support, but I too sometimes find it impossible not to offer well intended advice and concern, as difficult as that may be. I wished I had a good reason to have those shakes-YUM!! But alas, I am supposed to be losing weight. By the way, I sent you some pictures via email, did you get them?
