Started 150mg Casodex monotherapy April 2011 at the time psa was .5, testosterone was 35. Within 4 months psa was .1. By Nov 2011 Casodex had failed and psa was .5.
Started Lupron /Casodex (50mg)/Advodart in Dec 2011.

Psa in April 2012 was .1 testosterone .8 Latest psa ( July)was .1 testosterone .2.

So although my testosterone has reached castrate level I’m disappointed not to have achieved an undectable psa after six months of Lupron.

Is it possible to have psa from any other source other than pc cells.

My first thought, what is the accuracy your Doctors lab uses? Is a 0.1 the lowest the lab will go?

My second thought - Ask your doctor!

To my knowledge, limited as it is, PSA is from prostate cancer cells.
