Well, I did my 18 month blood letting on Thursday. I get a call today on my answering device that says" the results are in and after the Doc reviews them we will call". I don't know how to process this information. shakehead
I called the office yesterday before heading back to Chicago to work, so HOPEFULLY they are just getting back in touch with me to let me know it's in process. After all I called like 6 times. devil

Let us know... sometimes those nurses make things sound foreboding when they aren't. I'm hoping that is the case.

I had a nurse at the radiation clinic do that to me. Just before my ride on the machine she said, "The doctor needs to see you before you leave."
That got me worried.
Then I went to see the doc and he said, "Hi, just just wanted to let you know that I am going to a conference next week and Dr. Jones will be following you while I am gone."

You will soon know the results, try not to obsess about its direction, it will be whatever it will be, hopefully to the good.

Well,looks like I'm loosing my stool at the club. The results are in and its 0.14. just a little jump from the last test. Next one will be in a few months.
It was time to leave the bar for a while any way, my tab was way too big and room is needed for newbies!

Sorry to hear about that darn PSA. My take is the surgery knocked the sucker to the matt, and now you might need a zap or two to keep it down for the count.

In the meantime, go fishing! My granddaughter caught her first fish, a big perch, off the boathouse dock yesterday. I can't wait to get there and take her hunting Muskie --- but the grandmother wisely suggests if Abby sees a Muskie come out of our bay she may never go swimming there again, so I'd best start with Walleye hunting.

Not sure where you fish, but if you ever get to North West Ontario come give me a lesson.

Sorry to hear. Know the feeling. Kinda sucks.

Mine was a little slower. I decided .05 was my launch point right after surgery, so I started IGRT at .06. Really no big deal, half done. With a Gleason 9 I'm being aggressive as possible. I consider it delayed adjuvant radiation.

You certainly have lots of options, and time to make the best decisions.

Sorry about the rise. Yep, you may benefit greatly from some SRT. It helped me. You are far enough out from surgery to not have any concern about not having a chance to recover your continence, etc. Given that you had a positive margin, this is not too big of a surprise, and probably makes you a very good candidate for the SRT.

Yeah, I'm sure SRT will be the next route we take. Gonna call the doc and retest first of October, that away if nuking is needed,it will be on this years insurance and out of pocket is all maxed out again, so it'll cost me nothing. I like to pay nothing.
With a positive margin ,I am not surprised at all with the out come. A little zapping will make for some interesting conversations.
