MDV3100 Journey - updated with first follow up visit

We had our appointment in Concord today which included an EKG, lab work, a quick physical, and then the appt. regarding the MDV3100. We walked out of there with the bottle of pills! He begins to take them today after supper. He has to note that he has taken them, and note as well any side effects: what they are, how long they last, if they can be treated with OTC stuff.
We go back in 4 weeks.
So we are crossing fingers and toes.
I did start this thread but I don't think there will be a lot to report on - I hope not.
Now we just have to get C.C.'s husband going.

NHWife, my wife and I will be spending some time in Cheshire County, southern New Hampshire in late August. Are you north or south?

There isn't much to report - 3 days on the pills. He takes them around 6 pm. He has some lower back pain but that isn't a new symptom so we don't know if it is connected to the MDV3100. So far it is tolerable. No other SEs as yet. And he is sleeping well which is great.
Right now he has the promise of his best friend visiting in late August so that is his focus right now!

He takes the pills at the same time every day, around 6. He's had twinges of back pain but he's had that before. I'm eager for you to join us in this journey!

One week plus update - My husband has been on MDV3100 just over a week now. He feels great! There have been no SEs to note. Last week he had some lower back pain which he has had before. This is not a muscle pain but some undeterminate pain that we feel is associated with the lymph nodes in the pelvic area. He also had one or two days of irregularity.
But nothing now. Of course we won't know if this working for a bit now. He is enjoying just taking the 4 pills a day for this treatment. Other treatments have had more pills (about 10 for the keto treatment) and then of course the chemo with not only pills but infusions.
So his spirits are good. We have many good days. Hoping that many on this forum are.

just wanted to let you know how it is going here :) No major SEs but he is tired and having leg and back pain but he did that before mdv3100 but with in 45 minutes of taking them he is out cold which I think is good sleep is healing :)

Latest in the life of GiGi

Yesterday we were over her house, our little lady has learned how to sit up now - which is a real treat to watch -Her Mom and Dad have a area prepared, blanket on the floor, with a number of her toys scattered about. The perimeter of the blanket is couch, wall, and two sides with pillows - idea she will not go too far.
She will sit up, babble for awhile, play with whatever she has in her hands, than either she wants to get something else or just loses focus - and falls. Than she manages to move about her play area, she has not yet figured out this crawl thing - thats coming.
Yesterday Grandpa was laying on the floor, being a 'perimeter', he was not paying her any attention as was reading. (malecare.org/advanced-prostate-cancer-program) I laid all the papers at my side, laid on my back and was thinking of what I had read.
After a bit there was this little hand poking at my face, Gigi was sitting on the papers, baby babble as she looked sternly at Grandpa - I'm pretty sure she was saying "Grandpa! You are not being attention to ME!"
"Yes Princess!" The papers can wait, look at this treasure sitting here! GRINS!
