I got a new MRI (my third since this whole thing started) and got the following positive results:
Improvement in the approximately eight months interval since the comparison examination:
1) Resolution of numerous small metastatic deposits and contraction and osseous healing of dominant pelvic metastatic deposits.
2) Negative for progressive metastasis. Negative for fracture or other complication.
The bottom line is that many of my lesions have disappeared. My bone doctor said that it was like looking at a new man. His opinion was that any bone or joint pain I feel now is most likely arthritis.
Considering that 9 months ago my MRI looked like someone had spray painted my spine, this is very good news indeed!
I know this can't last forever, but it can last long enough to new protocols for CRPC to be worked out.
I hope this gives some optimism to others.
