about 3 months ago I was diagnosed with a spermatocele. I had gone to a urologist because I was having constant, achey pain in my right testicle.
I just don't know what to do. It's a small cyst (not sure what size, he just said very small), and I know they don't recommend having them removed unless they're huge, but this "tiny" cyst causes me DAILY pain...just walking around sets it off. I'm getting really tired of the constant (but also kind of unpredictable) pain, but I know that there is a chance I may still be in pain even after the cyst is removed, or it may just come right back. I've tried various pain meds, but Naproxen doesn't help much and tears up my stomach, and I'm sure as hell not going to stay on steroids or Lyrica long term. With my IBS issues, there really isn't any medication I can take long-term (or even short-term sometimes) without horrible repercussions.
I've seen several posts of people saying the cyst came back, but has anyone had the cyst removed and STILL HAD THE SAME PAIN? I guess supposedly the nerves of the epididymis can get damaged and still feel like you have a cyst, even after removal.
And has anyone else had intense pain from a small spermatocele?
I DO NOT want to go through all this only to find out it did absolutely nothing (and likely caused new pain from the surgery/scarring). I just don't know what to do = ( I hate this ****ing pain.
Also...if you're reading this and you're in Orlando, FL...please recommend a great urologist! Mine seems ok, but he's too detached. I want someone who obviously gives a crap and genuinely wants to help/heal someone.
