Questions to ask 1 year appointment after seeds

Good question.

I would want to know, how low would or should my PSA go to over time, and what future PSA rise(s) would indicate any sign of radiation failure (heaven forbid, hope you never have to deal with that).

And if it were to fail, what would be a general back up plan to deal with any recurrance?

The same, we didn’t have any apart from in the early days Jeff wanted to know how long he’d need to take the Tamsulosin for? Apart from that it has all be so positive thankfully.
Willing and wishing you very good numbers but remember, Jeff hit the ‘bounce’ at one year so don’t panic if you don’t see a drop in PSA – now there is a fine example of ‘don’t do as I do, do as I say’ having panicked like mad myself of course when Jeff’s PSA elevated!!!

I met my rad onc weekly during the treatment, then monthly for 6 months, the quarterly. So at one year I had seen him so many times we were sharing family pictures and I really didn't have any questions.I have been on quarterly meetings for the last year and in July we went to yearly meeting for the next five years. He will trackme indefinately to monitor results and side effects for their records.

I would advise you discuss current side effects and what they are likely to do, why, and what can be done to mitigate them. I would also ask at this point how is my PSA reduction going compared to expectations and what can I expect to see in thetime before our next meeting.

Yes, I'm on a yearly schedule with him and 4 - 6 month schedule with the urologist.
