Need a good link for cancer screening (for all cancers)

I have a website put together for a local run/fundraising effort.  I have a tab for "Cancer Screening 101"...  I'd like to add a link that gives the reader a simple page to review for screening for all cancers (when to start, etc...).  Naturally, would like the list to show annual screening for PC at least by age 40, DRE, etc...

I'd like to offer a suggestion to make your web site even more value-added for those who undergo PC screening.  Help to provide info, or at least access to info, about the fact that most men diagnosed with PC today have low-risk PC, and the their best course of action is NOT to rush into an aggressive, irreversible treatment that they may have never needed if they had only choosen conservative "surveillance" instead. 

 

In the spirit of keeping the web site simple, perhaps you could simply provide a helpful link to THIS web page provided by the American College of Surgeons (or many others like it) which has beneficial info for newcomers regarding their endorsement of AS for low-risk PC.

 

A lot of newcomers never get exposed to this side...this would really be "value-added" info.

But seriously. If one would like to be most informative, these recommendations may be discussed. It's good to have them on hand and discuss them. I will be posting them on our UsTOO chapter website today as well.

Of course with a careful explanation that the USPSTF is not a cancer panel but rather a group that makes influential recommendations that you may come across...
